What a time to be alive...
With business at a stand still and all of us doing our part to slow the spread of the Corona Virus by staying home,
I have decided to take part in #TheFrontStepsProject which was started by Cara Soulia, a Boston Area Photographer.
Like most of you, I've been staying home, adjusting to a new normal.
Fortunately I was able to get out in the neighborhood to take walks with my family and enjoy the outdoors.
By joining #TheFrontStepsProject, I started to bring my camera along with me on these walks and
photographed families on their front steps or front lawn, enjoying time with their family.
I stayed on the street or in driveways, always 10+ feet away with a long 70-200 lens.
In exchange for these photos, I am asked that families make a good faith donation to The Covenant House
Cara Soulia put it perfect by saying "The purpose of this project is to bring us together when we might feel isolated. I aim to highlight the faces of our community during a time when we might not see them in passing at the grocery store, coffee shop, on the train or at the gym. Participating in this project is also an opportunity to step up to help those who need it most right now."
At this time, I have put the project on hold.
To fully respect the Stay-at-Home order and help flatten the curve,
I have paused my sessions but will continue to post
the families I have already photographed in my community.
I look forward to re-starting the sessions once we emerge from this crisis.
